This is the first 3D pen I have ever used and it is very
neat. I got it for my son for Christmas
but wanted to make sure it worked before I put it away until then so if there was
an issue I could exchange it. It is very
easy to operate but it will take practice to do anything cool I think.
To get started all you need to do is plug it in and press
the feed button so the red light comes on.
When the light turns green then you are ready to move to the next
step. I was surprised how quickly it
heated up, within seconds. You feed the filament into the hole in the back of
the pen. There is a slide on the side of the pen that adjusts the feed
speed. I cut the filament into small
sections so it is more manageable when using the pen. There is a bit of a plastic smell when using
the pen and even a little smoke but not a lot and nothing to worry about.
After done “drawing” you press the backwards feed button to
remove the filament until next time. The
pen didn’t come with a ton of filament but it is enough to play around with,
get familiar with the pen and practice with.
My son is going to be so excited about this Samto 3d pen when he
opens it on Christmas.
I have received this product at
a discount in exchange for an honest review.
