One night I was going to make breakfast for dinner and have biscuits with it. I then had a brilliant idea! Why not make breakfast calzones? And then the breakfast calzone was born. The best part was since everyone in my house likes different things they were easy to customize.
Breakfast Calzones
Makes 3 or 4 smaller calzones or one large calzone.
Ingredients
eggs
cheese
any other toppings you would like
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Scramble up the eggs
- Split biscuit dough into 3 or four sections depending on how large you would like your calzones. You could also leave it whole and make a large calzone.
- roll out the biscuit dough until it is about 1/4 thick. Try to keep it as close to a circle as possible
- place topping on half of the rolled dough.
- After done placing your toppings fold the dough over to close the calzone. It should now look like a semi-circle.
- Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, until crust is a golden brown.
- Enjoy
